Introduction

This privacy policy covers DQT Ltd’s, henceforth known as DQT treatment of personally identifiable information collected by DQT through a website owned and operated by DQT. For the purposes of the UK Data Protection Law DQT (“We”) are the data controllers of the personal data which we collect from you or which you provide to us through our site (dqt.co.uk). Data privacy is highly important for us and we guarantee to comply with the standards, procedures and requirements of the said Law of protecting and securing data.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect personal information comprising: your full name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, credit card information or other payment information and an encrypted password to provide you with the products or services you request.

We may obtain information about your usage of our website, your visits of our site and which site you came from redirecting to us this.

When do we collect your personal data?

When an online purchase is made, you provide personal information that will be used to provide you the products and services you requested.

If you use our site and check out as a guest we collect transaction-based data.

Information which you provide when you enter a newsletter sign ups, competition or sweepstakes sponsored by us or when you report a problem with our site (dqt.co.uk).

When you ask to be emailed some product information or about services that we provide.

Personal information when you leave a review about our products and services. Any individual may access personal data related to them, including opinions. So if your comment or review includes information about the Partner who provided that service, it may be passed on to them if requested.

Why and how do we use your personal data?

We aim to provide the best customer service for you. For us to be able to do that, we need your personal data to offer you promotions, products and services on your personal preference.

To help you resolve any issue or to answer your queries, we will need the information you provided such as payment details, delivery information or the product/s you have purchased.

Where do we store your personal data?

The data that we collect from you is stored on our secure servers which are located within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside of the EEA. How do we protect your personal data?

Personal data security is very much important for customers. With this in mind we implement technical security measures and appropriate steps to protect it. All areas of our website are secured using ‘https’ technology.

Your personal data is encrypted and sensitive data (such as payment card information) is secured and tokenised to ensure it is protected against any unauthorised or unlawful processing and against any accidental loss, destruction, or damage. Further, DQT retains your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes identified above or as required by law.

How long will we keep your personal data?

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is you have an active DQT account membership. We will keep your personal information for six years from your last interaction with us. We may keep your personal information for a shorter period if you ask for a termination of membership or a personal data to be deleted. DQT will aim to delete your personal information within a maximum period of one month from the date of the request; your data will be deleted completely at the end of that retention period.

How do we share your personal data?

Sharing of data with your consent to third party service providers for the purpose of processing credit cards and payments, deliveries, manage and service our data, distribute emails, research and analysis as well as administering certain services and features on our (DQT) behalf. They may use specific informations they need only to the exact purpose of our contract with them. Your information is protected at all times as we do work very closely with them. Third parties are required to adhere to firm rules of processing data and to only use this information in accordance to DQT’s instructions and to applicable law. Data that has been shared to these third parties will be deleted as soon as we stop working with a service provider. We will not share your personal information for other purposes before we have received such consent.

We may disclose personal information to other third parties to comply with legal obligations or required by law. Also, in a matter we need to protect and defend ourselves against third party claims and legal rights; and assist in fraud prevention or investigation.

Where relevant, transferring of personal data in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets to new owner or controlling party.

What are your rights over your personal data?

Log Files

DQT follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies

Like any other website, DQT uses ‘cookies’. A Cookie is a small file placed on your computer when you visit a website. We use ‘cookies’ to keep track of your current shopping session to personalise your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping bag at any time. Benefits of cookies:

Remarketing Cookies

On our website we have included buttons for Facebook, Twitter Instagram and Pinterest to promote webpages (e.g. “like”, “pin”) or share (e.g. “tweet”) on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. These buttons work using pieces of code coming from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest themselves. This code places cookies. These social media buttons also can store and process certain information, so a personalised advertisement can be shown to you.

The data that is retrieved is anonymised as much as possible. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest are located in the United States of America.

Third Party Privacy Policies

DQT’s Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.

Klarna

In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options, we will pass to Klarna certain aspects of your personal information, such as contact and order details, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you.
